Matt discovered a love of art at an early age through his dad’s encouragement, who was a very talented artist himself. As the budding artist matured, he developed an interest in eastern philosophy and the deeper truths those teachings revealed. This proved to be a great creative outlet allowing him to paint metaphysical insights, myths and and ideas. Never one to paint barns and still-life’s, he uses the nude figure to represent humanity distilled to it’s most elementary form, unadorned with any cultural or temporal reference… the nude as a symbol of our collective soul.
With that in mind, please enjoy his smooth, clean style coupled with some exotic imagery that is a feast for the eyes and the mind as well.
